You can find several tests that will help determine and evaluate your fitness strength. The best way to evaluate your fitness is through taking a test that will evaluate your physical strength and which will help you check the true relationship between strength, performance and your condition. The most test you must check out is the one known as Kraus-Weber Test (K-W Test).

Components of Kraus-Weber Test

Our bodies are composed of different muscles that perform but one function and that is to keep our speed and strength up to par. There are six components you have to consider when taking the K-W Test. The more the ratings are the greater is your level of fitness and the better will the muscles in the body function.

This test of fitness was first used to evaluate how treatment being meted out to treat low back pain was progressing. It is surprising to learn that as many as, it is believed, more than eighty percent of those tested failed to pass the test! However, these people, when exercising were nevertheless able to perform better and the complaints of back pain too steadily became fewer.

The first of six K-W Tests to evaluate fitness is to keep both feet on the ground; maintaining a lying down position on the ground and with hands held behind your back doing sit-ups.

The second K-W Test requires that you maintain the same posture as in the first test but your knees must be bent and the ankles positioned as close to your buttocks after which you must do a single sit-up.

In the third K-W Test you will need to lie flat on your back and keep your hands behind your neck and your legs must be straight and lifted about ten inches off the ground for ten seconds.

The fourth test requires you to lie on your stomach; a pillow should be placed beneath your lower abdomen and also your groin. With feet held down you need to lift up your head and shoulders as well as the chest off the ground for about ten seconds.

Test number five requires that you maintain the same posture as in test number four; with chest down you need to lift your knees straight off the floor for ten seconds. Finally, in test number six you will need to stand erect and barefoot and both your feet must be placed together; then, with knees straight you need to bend slowly to touch the ground with your fingertips and you must hold this position for three seconds.

Fitness is not just exercise. You need to worry about your diet too. Check out the best diet for women.

You might also want to know more about the right kind of fitness equipment including the treadmill that is an ubiquitous item that every fitness fanatic is found using today. The K-W Test may seem to be a simple one; however, when you try this test, the results achieved will truly amaze you and it will also do a world of good as far as your fitness is concerned.

For all practical purposes you have to assume that all emeralds are treated with oil, resin, polymer or a combination of more than one. Most Colombian emerald rough is now getting treated before it even reaches the cutter. This can be a problem for the faceter because they need to see the flaws in order to orient the rough before cutting.

Are emerald treatments a problem for the consumer? Only if they are not disclosed or if someone is trying to sell you an untreated emerald at a premium. If someone tries to sell you an untreated emerald without proof from a major lab you should not buy it.

Remember emerald enhancements have been going on for hundreds of years and are accepted worldwide in the trade as long as they are properly disclosed. A moderate level of treatment is the baseline for prices with heavily treated gemstones selling at a discount and lightly enhanced or untreated selling at a premium.

How can you tell the level of enhancement in a Colombian emerald without a lab certificate? The best way to do this is to count the number of surface reaching cracks  on the table of the emerald. Take out your loop and hold the emerald at an angle so that you can see a reflection off of the emerald’s table. Now look for little squiggly lines running across the table, as those are surface reaching cracks. The cracks are where the emerald treatment enters so roughly speaking the fewer fissures you have the less treatment has been introduced. Fissures are natural but while you do this you will also be looking for cracks. A crack that runs across any part of the emerald will be an automatic no buy. Look at a number of emeralds that are comparable and pick the one that has the fewest surface reaching fissures. An acceptable number of surface reaching fissures depends on the size of the gemstones and other factors but I shoot for about 0-3 in a 1-carat emerald. I’m more forgiving in larger emeralds but stricter in lighter colored emeralds.
